A love of wood is something that all mankind has in common. Regardless of where people come from, they cannot stop themselves from letting their hands stroke a piece of wood, hold it, sniff it and experience the material.

A rare breed of highly skilled furniture artisans hides out in Allerod, Denmark, a small town north of Copenhagen. PP Mobler is the penultimate factory producing the most significant designs of Hans Wegner.

Wegner's own strategy was to position his work in the broadest marketplace possible by allowing his designs to be produced by large manufacturers and this one small craft factory. Many of his more manufacturing-friendly designs can be found elsewhere, but PP Mobler is the only factory producing the likes of the Flag Halyard Chair and the Circle Chair. These beautifully crafted products represent hours of toil carved and caressed from wood species felled in European forests.

Family-owned and operated, the factory is hallowed ground for designers, a place to be preserved, cherished and protected.
