handmade for everyday

making an object by hand connects all the senses to the work. cia works in wood and clay to create functional objects. her kitchen utensils are made from 100% post-industrial off-cuts in oregon walnut, maple, or beech. each piece is handmade and finished with mineral oil and lemon. the wood is fall-down waste sourced in portland. limited edition.

“a love of wood is something that all mankind has in common. regardless of where people come from, they cannot stop themselves from letting their hands stroke a piece of wood, hold it, sniff, and experience that material."

— hans wegner, furniture designer

ceramic vessels

cia turns vessels and lidded containers on the potter’s wheel. the functional objects are crafted in white salmon, mazama red, or stoneware clays. all the clay bodies are sourced in portland.
