the ghosts
concept: upcycled chair parts
the random remnants of chairs and stools are assembled using steel mesh and cardboard. the structure is then covered with plaster sheeting that is draped, layered, and shaped by hand. as the plaster dries, the folds of cloth are manipulated to achieve a flow or feeling of the moment. in the gentle swaddling, the objects are reborn as ghosts, then placed on the street and left to a fate unknown. in the light of day, plaster takes on an ethereal glow.
the idea began in a dream state.
